We hold our monthly pack meetings at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Marietta, GA.  Pack Meetings are generally held on the Third Tuesday of the month. Parent/Leader Meetings are via Zoom and held the Second Tuesday of the month.  Refer to the calendar for more specific dates and times.

Our dens meet separately on dates conducive to their members.  This year we are back in person!

Pack 571 is an annual recipient of the BSA quality awards receiving the Bronze Journey to Excellence for 2020

We have approximately 40 scouts in the pack for this year in 6 dens,

We believe every scout deserves a trained leader so we mandate all leaders be fully-trained.  Scouting is "Fun with a Purpose" & is a family activity so get ready to make some amazing memories with your family.

Short Notice Fall Campout

Posted on Oct 22 2021 - 10:14am
We took the opportunity to book a campsite at Woodruff Scout Camp for a weekend campout two weeks from now on November 5th-7th.  I know not everyone will be able to make it, but we wanted to get another campout in while the weather is still temperate.

BE SURE TO REGISTER FOR ALL ATTENDEES on Pack571.net!  We are limited to 50 total people.

Below is some of the IMPORTANT information for this event:
  • 2 Completely filled out Hard copies of Medical forms, Part A and B plus front and back of insurance cards, are required to be turned in to me or Nikki ASAP for each attendee.  If we already have your form from Spooky-ree, we do not need it again this scouting year.
  • You will need your Class A and Class B Uniforms plus appropriate gear to keep you Warm and Dry!
  • Plan for cooking/making your own meals for the weekend.
    • Recommended to eat on the way up on Friday or have food ready to eat in camp
    • We will have plenty of time to make Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner individually on Saturday - I will plan to make fruit cobblers to share for dessert!
    • Sunday quick light breakfast is recommended so we can pack up, clean up and head out by 9am-ish.  I like stopping by Waffle King or Waffle House on the way home as a treat for my kids (and me).
    • If a couple folks bring some ingredients for S'mores we will have plenty.  I have roasting sticks that I will bring.
  • If a few families can bring a bundle of firewood, we can keep fires going as needed.
  • We will plan for a flag retirement ceremony on Saturday evening.  Bring any torn or faded American flags you may have.
  • We will have a few activities and a lot of chill time. No screens for youth on this trip.  They can bring some cards, frisbee, or ball and we will plan to go out to one of the fields to play for a while.
  • We will plan for some hiking around the campground
  • We will be staying at site 19 - it's near a bath house.  You will be able to unload at the front of the campsite and then move your car to one of the parking lots across from the campsite.
  • There are many 7'x9' platforms for setting up your tents and not many good spots for extra large tents - but I'm sure they could fit if you need to.

If you have your med forms printed and complete (2 copies of each), you may drop them off on my front porch at your convenience, I will have a place for them.  My address is 1377 E Shaw Ct NE, Marietta, GA 30066.
